School which banned skirts to avoid 'sexualisation' of pupils sends girls home for wearing trousers that are 'too tight'

A school that caused uproar by banning skirts as part of their uniform has sparked further controversy after girls were sent home because their trousers were considered too tight. Moulton School and Science College, in Northampton, introduced strict new uniform rules at the start of September to 'avoid the sexualisation' of pupils. Skirts were banned after schoolgirls repeatedly wore them above the knee. But now headmaster Trevor Jones has caused further upset with his crackdown on skinny-fit trousers, or those with visible studs, labels, zips, non-black stitching or metal buttons The head has ordered staff to send pupils home or teach them in isolation if they turn up in the legwear, which he claims would be 'more at home in a nightclub'. The school's website also states that anyone not wearing the correct uniform will be offered second-hand clothing if available. Angry parents have described the policy as 'over-the-top' and have even likened conditions a...

Caught on canvas! The hyperrealistic drawings that look so good you could mistake them for photographs

The first time you see Dirk Dzimirsky's hyperrealistic drawings, you're convinced they're black and white photographs. £40m for any man who can turn my gay daughter straight: Father's shock offer after lesbian wedding ceremony

As a billionaire playboy who claims to have bedded 10,000 women, Cecil Chao has no doubts about his own sexuality. Now he is trying to dictate the sexuality of his children too. The 76-year-old property and shipping tycoon is offering a £40million ‘marriage bounty’ to any man who can win the heart of his lesbian daughter – and turn her straight. He announced the reward after his daughter, Gigi, married her same-sex partner in France. Refusing to accept the gay union, he pledged the fortune to any potential male suitor able to walk the 33-year-old University of Manchester graduate down the aisle at a traditional wedding. The famously promiscuous Hong Kong businessman dismissed ‘false reports’ of his daughter’s lesbian nuptials and insisted she was still single. ‘I don’t mind whether he is rich or poor – the important thing is that he is generous and kind hearted,’ he said of the ideal husband for his daughter. ‘Gigi is a very good woman with both talents and looks. She is devoted to he...

Revealed: Employee and manager at centre of salacious resignation email that accused them of having sex in the office

As one of London’s leading advertising agencies, MEC might have thought that all publicity was good publicity. But it will be feeling rather differently after a damning resignation email sent by one of its employees caused an internet sensation. In the email, sent to the whole company, senior account manager Kieran Allen makes a series of salacious allegations against his boss. He alleges that his 36-year-old boss ‘took a female colleague out for a drink on the day he interviewed her, then later took her back to the MEC offices that night and had sexual relations with her in the meeting rooms on the 3rd floor’. To the astonishment of MEC’s 5,000 employees, Mr Allen, who has worked for the company for more than two years, said he wanted to ‘expose the failings’ of supervisor Greg Shickle. He claimed the allegations were ‘common knowledge’ among the 30-strong team Mr Shickle leads in his role as Head of Performance. Soon after Mr Allen sent the email on Tuesday morning, it had gone ‘vira...

German schoolchildren preparing for the invasion of the UK during the Second World War were given a textbook portraying Hitler as a man of peace and the British as evil warmongers. The bizarre 1942 publication - which was written in English - attempts to give children an idea of what to expect when visiting the British Isles in the event of a successful Nazi take-over. In it, a variety of bold claims are made, accusing Jews of running the British press and statements about English people secretly supporting Fascism, but it does reflect Hitler's admiration for the work of William Shakespeare. 'He's their pack leader': Man who shares his home with 50 dogs escapes an ASBO after judge rules he has the 'right to a family life'

When Andrew Debidin moved to a new home with his pack of nearly 50 German Shepherds, his neighbours were understandably concerned. And they claim that their worst fears were confirmed over the next few months when the din from nearby kennels left them depressed and exhausted, forcing the council to seek an Anti-Social Behaviour Order to reduce numbers and control the noise. But yesterday a sheriff dismissed the Asbo bid and allowed Mr Debidin, who she described as the 'pack leader', to keep all his animals. Referring to Mr Debidin’s human rights, Sheriff Susan Raeburn ruled there was no justification to interfere in his 'family life' with his dogs. She said that while his circumstances were 'unusual' - Mr Dedibin sleeps with all but two of his pets in a caravan in a remote rural compound - his lifestyle does not amount to anti-social behaviour. The reclusive 58-year-old already has a history of owning noisy dogs and was jailed and banned from keeping the animals...

Sergio Lopes, a producer for the group in Brazil, said: 'Doctors performed all the emergency procedures but unfortunately there was no solution.' His body will be flown back to his home in California later this week, Globonews reported. Generation Esmeralda is a disco group formed by ex-members of Santa Esmeralda, a Franco-U.S. 1970s outfit. Could the bizarre 'bagel head' look be Japan's most extreme beauty trend yet?

A new television series has shed light on the bizarre Japanese trend for 'bagel heads'. Seven million Britons have seen topless Kate pictures online... that's one in five

Pictures of the Duchess of Cambridge sunbathing topless have now been seen by seven million Britons, research has found. While only one per cent have seen the shots, taken with a super-long lens, in foreign magazines or a newspaper, one in five adults with internet access have seen them online. And two thirds think the photographer who took the pictures should be prosecuted. The French magazine Closer is being sued by the Royals after it was the first to publish the snaps of Kate sunbathing at the chateau in southern France. Police probing the photographer who took the pictures have been questioning staff at the chateau where the couple were staying. Nearly three quarters of the 1,600 people polled by YouGov said Kate and husband William, both 30, were right to pursue legal action. Read more

Manhattan Madam 'pleads guilty to running high-class prostitution service from her apartment'... and now she WON'T have to name her wealthy client

The 'Manhattan Madam' has today pleaded guilty to running a high-end prostitution service from her New York City apartment. Anna Gristina, 44, pleaded guilty in Manhattan Criminal Court to a single count of promoting prostitution. The sole charge against her stemmed from a tryst she allegedly arranged between two prostitutes and an undercover police officer, who was posing as a client, in July 2011. She took the deal in exchange for a promised sentence of time already served, DNAinfo reported, meaning she won't be going back to jail as she was in Rikers Island for four months earlier this year. Gristina will be ordered to serve five months probation when she is sentenced on November 20. The judge warned the Scottish-born mother of four that she could also be deported. The punishment is much more lenient than the potential outcome of a trial; she could have faced seven years behind bars if she had been found guilty at a trial scheduled for next month. Read more

An employee at a media agency in London has decided to send a leaving speech detailing his grievances with a company manager to all members of staff. And worse still - that email has now gone viral after it was posted online, with its hashtag trending on Twitter. Employee Kieran Allen, a senior account manager at the company, has lambasted his manager for ruining the past 8 months of his working life. Mr Allen has decided to quit the company after 2 and a half years of 'loyal service' because he alleges the manager blocked his bonus, gave him a verbal warning for poor performance and put him on a performance review, according to the email that was sent this morning. 'Slut walking' around the world: Women take to the streets across globe in their underwear to protest against rape

In its submission, the church said the 620 cases went back 80 years with the majority taking place between the 1960s and the 1980s. It says it is still investigating a further 45 cases. In a statement, Archbishop Hart said it was important to be open "about the horrific abuse that has occurred in Victoria and elsewhere". Read More

parliamentary debate on legalizing same sex marriage that it could lead to marriage between humans and animals...

Liberal senator Cory Bernardi has resigned as Tony Abbott's parliamentary secretary amid a fierce backlash over comments he made linking gay marriage to the social acceptance of having sex with animals. Mr Abbott has described the comments as "ill-disciplined" and has accepted Senator Bernardi's resignation. "They're views I don't share," the Opposition Leader told reporters in Canberra. "They're views that I think many people would find repugnant. "I had a conversation with Senator Bernardi [and] as a result of that conversation, he offered his resignation and I've accepted his resignation. "I think it's pretty clear that I have sent a very strong message to every member of the team that ill-discipline is unacceptable. Read More Australia: Same Sex Marriage Debate Unleashes Beast

West’s speech ‘double standard’ flayed

Image
Sheikh Saleh Al-Talib, imam and khatib at the Grand Mosque, condemned yesterday the unfair approach of Western countries denigrating the Prophet (peace be upon him). “What is the meaning of freedom of expression when international organizations and Western governments chase and prosecute anyone who denies the Holocaust or even expresses any doubt about the Jewish ordeal?” Al-Talib said during the Friday sermon. “On the other hand, anyone who ridicules and vilifies the great Prophet (pbuh) are protected by law.”  The sheikh’s sermon follows the release of the recent anti-Islam film mocking the Prophet (pbuh), which was circulated on YouTube and produced in the United States, and the publication of similarly themed French cartoons. Although many Western countries have hate speech laws, the United States has none. The sheikh said it is impossible for a “civilized human being with (a minuscule of) intelligence” to hate Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). The sheikh warned Western ...

France’s Le Pen calls for ban on Muslim headscarf, Jewish kippah

French far-right leader Marine Le Pen called Friday for a ban on the wearing of Muslim veils and Jewish skullcaps in public, adding to religious tensions sparked by cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed. In an interview with the newspaper Le Monde, Le Pen called for religious headwear to be banned “in stores, on public transport and on the streets.” Asked whether the ban should apply to the Jewish skullcap, known as the kippah or yarmulke, as well as Muslim headwear, she said: “It is obvious that if the veil is banned, the kippah is banned in public as well.” Le Pen, who shocked the French elite by winning almost 18% in the first round of this year’s presidential vote, also repeated calls for bans on public prayers, kosher and halal foods in schools and foreign government financing of mosques in France. President Francois Hollande denounced her comments, saying: “Everything that tears people apart, opposes them and divides them is inappropriate, and we must apply the rules, the only rul...

Lessons from the Jesus 'wife' story

A small ancient Coptic papyrus fragment was major news this week. And if you followed any of the reports on the fragment you might have become convinced that there is new evidence that Jesus was married. Based on the reporting, you might also believe that this news should make Catholics and other Christians who believe in the Bible very nervous. There are two problems with this line of thinking. First, proof of a married Jesus wouldn't make most Catholics and Christians nervous. Second, the evidence just isn't there that Jesus was ever married. Christians have no reason to be scandalized by the thought of a married Jesus because there is nothing in Christian theology that would eliminate the possibility. Jesus was pro-woman and pro-marriage. He attended weddings and even did his first miracle at a wedding feast by turning water into wine. When asked about marriage and about men who wanted to divorce their wives, Jesus defended the marriage bond with no equivocation: ...

Clergy brace for congregations' questions about possible evidence Jesus was married

Pastors around the nation are bracing for questions from curious congregants, after a Harvard professor claimed a fragment of text from the fourth century suggests Jesus may have been married. Karen King, a professor of early Christianity at Harvard Divinity School, announced Tuesday that the tiny scrap of papyrus contains dialogue that includes the words "Jesus said to them, 'My wife..'" The text, written in Coptic and likely translated from a second-century Greek text, was produced by an unknown author roughly 300 years after Jesus' death. It is the "only extant ancient text which explicitly portrays Jesus as referring to a wife," according to King. WH Silent Over Demands to Denounce ‘Piss Christ’ Artwork

Religious groups are blasting President Obama for not condemning am anti-Christian art display set to appear in New York City and one Republican lawmaker said he is “fed up with the administration’s double standard and religious hypocrisy. “Piss Christ,” once branded as a “deplorable, despicable display of vulgarity,” will be displayed at the Edward Tyler Nahem Gallery in Manhattan on Thursday. The artwork features a “photograph of the crucifix submerged in the artist’s urine.” The artwork debuted in 1989 and was funded through prize money provided by the National Endowment for the Arts. The art gallery hosting the retrospective salute to Andres Serrano is privately owned. Religious groups and some lawmakers have already started sounding off – and making comparisons to the controversy over a recent anti-Muslim film. The low budget movie “Innocence of Muslims” sparked violent and deadly clashes across the globe. It also brought strong rebukes, condemnations and apologies from President ...

We would NEVER go topless like Kate! Just 14 per cent of British women would remove their bikini tops on holiday

The Duchess of Cambridge has taken legal action to prevent further pictures of her sunbathing topless on holiday being published - but the embarrassment may never have happened if she was more like the majority of her compatriots. Just 14 per cent of British women sunbathe without their bikini tops on, according to a new survey. The main reason why they said they don't want to bare their breasts is that they are not confident enough about their figures. Six out of ten women questioned said they preferred to keep their bikini top on because they don't feel they have a 'perfect' body. A further 54 per cent of respondents said they would rather stay covered up because they didn't want strangers seeing them semi-naked while 32 per cent said they would not strip off if children were present. But 61 per cent of women said they would undo their bikini if they were lying on their front to prevent tanlines. Only 6 per cent of the women polled by dating site MissTravel.com ...

Smog sandwich: Scientists say the air pollution produced by a single HAMBURGER is more than a TRUCK

Image
Anyone looking to cut out air pollution in their town may have to look no further than their local burger joint. A new study out of the University of California, Riverside, has found that commercial charbroilers – like the ones used in the country's fast food restaurants, are doing more harm to the air quality than an 18-wheeler. Researchers claim that the charbroilers send a staggering quantity of particulate matter into the ecosystem, more than any truck or factory smokestack. Bill Welch, principal development engineer for the study at UC Riverside's Center for Environmental Research and Technology (CE-Cert) said in a statement: 'Emissions from commercial charbroilers are a very significant uncontrolled source of particulate matter…more than twice the contribution by all of the heavy-duty diesel trucks.' He added: 'For comparison, an 18-wheeler diesel-engine truck would have to drive 143 miles on the freeway to put out the same mass of particles as a single cha...

Ghent prostitutes told to wear more clothes

Prostitutes in the Belgian city of Ghent have been told to cover up and stop suggestive gyrating in their windows as of next month. As of October 1, the "working girls" will have to abide by the rules or else face a 120-euro (£95) fine. A new local police order will force prostitutes working day and night behind Amsterdam-style, neon-flashing windows, a feature of the trade across north-eastern mainland Europe, to cover up and quit sexually-charged posing before passers-by. Mayor Daniel Termont told AFP he was not "anti-prostitutes." "I'm not a puritan," he said. "Far from it! A city like Ghent needs prostitutes, but they have to respect certain rules." These now include the prohibition of women appearing "naked, in underwear, in bikinis or in see-through clothes," or of "dancing in windows" or "miming sexual acts," the decree states. "Neighbours have been complaining, even the prostitutes themselves, about...

Winds topple statue of Jesus atop NJ school

Image
High winds toppled a statue of Jesus Christ off its base on a school roof in northern New Jersey. Newark Archdiocese spokesman James Goodness says the statute stood at the St. John school in Orange for about 20 years. It came to rest at about a 90-degree angle, and workers took it down Wednesday afternoon. The statue was a replacement for the school's original statue, which also was toppled during a storm. The St. John school was closed in June because of declining enrollment. Goodness says the Orange Board of Education leases classroom space in the building, but no students were in danger. Classes at the school were canceled Wednesday. Read more :  http://cristina-mundialnoticias4.blogspot.com/2012/09/high-winds-topple-jesus-christ-statue.html

China rounds up and puts its beggars in CAGES ... so they couldn't spoil the fun at town fair

Beggars at a religious folk festival in southern China have been ordered to stay in purposely built cages, or be removed from the festivities. Organisers gave the beggars an ultimatum saying their presence ruins the experience for visitors at the temple fair in Nanchang, Jiangxi province and if they wished to beg they had to do so from inside small cages. The zoo-like cages are so small adults are unable to stand and although they are free to leave at will, they are immediately banished from the festival area and have to leave the town if they do so. The annual fair celebrates a religious holy day with a funfair, market and entertainment as pilgrims come to the temple from all over China. Due to the thousands of visitors it has become a magnet for down-and-outs looking for charity from tourists. ‘This year we decided we would no longer accept beggars wandering everywhere, distressing our guests and spoiling it for everyone else,' explained one organiser before adding that no one i...

Revealed: Ringleader behind 'al-Qaeda attack that killed U.S. ambassador was former Guantanamo inmate handed over to Libya by America'

Intelligence sources tell Fox News they are convinced the deadly attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, was directly tied to Al Qaeda -- with a former Guantanamo detainee involved. That revelation comes on the same day a top Obama administration official called last week's deadly assault a "terrorist attack" -- the first time the attack has been described that way by the administration after claims it had been a "spontaneous" act. "Yes, they were killed in the course of a terrorist attack on our embassy," Matt Olsen, director of the National Counterterrorism Center, said during a Senate hearing Wednesday. Olsen echoed administration colleagues in saying U.S. officials have no specific intelligence about "significant advanced planning or coordination" for the attack. Read more:

The explosive suggestion that Jesus and Mary Magdalene were man and wife, researchers say

Image
A small fragment of faded papyrus contains a suggestion that  Jesus may have been married . The fragment, with just eight lines of text on the front and six lines on the back, is from a fourth-century dialogue, written in the Coptic language, between Jesus and his disciples. In it, Jesus speaks of “my wife,” according to Harvard professor Karen L. King, who discovered the fragment. “The most exciting line in the whole fragment…is the sentence ‘Jesus said to them [his disciples], my wife…” King said  in a video  posted to Harvard’s YouTube channel. The next line of text reads, “She will be able to be my disciple.” “This is the only extant ancient text which explicitly portrays Jesus as referring to a wife,” King wrote in  her paper on the discovery . The discovery, if it is validated, could have major implications for the Christian faith. The belief that Jesus was not married is one reason priests in the Catholic Church must remain celibate and are not a...

Saudi Arabia orders closure of 100 lingerie shops because they employed male sales staff

King issued decree banning men from underwear stores Aims to make women feel more comfortable buying intimate attire Saudi Arabia has ordered the closure of around 100 lingerie shops in the capital Riyadi which have violated new regulations banning men from working on their sales staff, it emerged today. A labour ministry official was quoted by the newspaper  Al-Eqtisadiah  as saying all shops which flouted a decree on the 'feminisation and nationalisation of jobs' would be shut down. The measure aims to 'provide a safe environment for working women,' he said. At the start of this year, the ministry banned male assistants from working at lingerie shops as a first step to be followed by women-only sales assistants at cosmetics outlets. King Abdullah issued the decree to end the 'embarrassment' suffered by women who don't want to give men their measurements. It was also part of an effort to  reduce high female unemployment in the conservative ki...

The injunction came after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took action against France's Closer magazine for selling and distributing the images. The publishers must give the originals to the couple within 24 hours. It will also face a fine of 10,000 euros (£8,000) for every breach if it re-publishes or distributes the photos. The photographs were taken while the duchess was sunbathing on a private holiday with her husband at the French chateau of the Queen's nephew, Lord Linley, in Provence, earlier this month .Read more

13-year-old Cristian Fernandez is being tried as an adult over the murder of his two-year-old brother and could be jailed for life.

Image
Police and family services records have given a startling insight into the heartbreaking childhood of a 13-year-old boy accused of beating his two-year-old brother to death. Cristian Fernandez reportedly suffered neglect at the hands of a teenage mother and a drug-abusing grandmother, sexual abuse by a cousin and physical assaults by a stepfather who went on to kill himself. Fernandez, who was just 12 when he fatally smashed his brother's head against a book shelf, could become America's youngest ever 'lifer' after being charged as an adult over the murder. But the case has ignited a fierce debate over whether the punishment is too strict for a child - particularly for one who was left to languish in a poisonous upbringing littered with abuse. Fernandez was born in Miami, Florida in 1999 to Biannela Susana, who was just 12. The boy's 25-year-old father received 10 years' probation for sexually assaulting her. Two years later, both mother ...

And the highly trained agents say that 'any means is valid' when it comes to deploying their feminine wiles - though they would draw the line at sleeping with the enemy. But now five of them have spoken out for the first time, telling Israeli magazine Lady Globes about their extraordinary lifestyle which makes them feel as if they are 'living in a movie'. The most notable deployment of the women's unique talents came in 1986, when one agent seduced a turncoat former nuclear engineer and lured him into a trap so he could be taken back to Israel. A current agent calling herself Yael tells the magaz...

The horrifying moment 'Amish beard cutters chopped off bishop's beard in brutal hate crime'

Image
This picture shows the horrifying moment an Amish man grabbed the long, white beard of a 79-year-old Amish bishop in eastern Ohio and used his other hand to violently slice it off. The attacker in the image has been identified as defendant Johnny Mullet, the son of the alleged ringleader of a series of vicious beard-cutting ambushes on members of the community last year. As he chopped off the beard of Raymond Hershberger, pictured trying to push away his attacker, the bishop's wife screamed and a boy cried: 'Don't cut grandpa's beard,' according to his attorney. The image, which has now been released by the U.S. attorneys office, paints a horrifying picture of the fear inflicted by 16 aggressors by a breakaway Amish group. The sixteen defendants are accused of hate crimes in hair-cutting attacks on nine fellow Amish due to religious differences. Andy Hershberger testified that his father pleaded for the men not to shear him. But within minutes, the hair from his ...

Oxford graduate launches erotic website as alternative to hardcore porn to prevent men becoming 'inconsiderate lovers'

An Oxford graduate has set up an erotic website aiming to promote a tasteful style of adult video in a challenge to hardcore pornography. British businesswoman, Cindy Gallop, wants to urge more people to 'make love, not porn', believing her site is the sex education aid of the future. The 52-year-old claims that too many people - particularly young men - are learning their bedroom techniques chiefly from viewing hardcore porn on the internet, which makes them inconsiderate lovers. She aims to 'reform porn' and 'rehabilitate' the younger generation with an alternative campaign for tasteful erotica. 'When you have sex with younger men you see the creeping ubiquity of hardcore porn in the culture, in an era where it is more freely and widely available than ever before and kids are accessing it younger and younger,' said Gallop to The Observer newspaper. Miss Gallop, who studied English literature at Oxford and now lives in New York, believes parents and sex...

What a view! Shock as visitors using restrooms on 18th floor of swanky Manhattan hotel are visible from the street

Image
Visitors using the restrooms on the 18th floor of an exclusive New York hotel may get a fantastic view through floor-to-ceiling windows - but passersby can't say the same. Bathroom users at the Boom Boom Room club at the swanky Standard Hotel in Manhattan are entirely visible to people on the street thanks to the 10-foot windows lining the walls. And it's a discovery that has alarmed some unaware toilet-goers as there is no warning sign that their bare behinds will be seen In 2009 people walking along the High Line park were treated to free peep shows from guests - including couples having sex and porn films being recorded - in the rooms above. One shopworker in the area said she saw 'a naked girl jumping up and down on a trampoline right in front of the window', while others were shocked to see men pleasuring themselves. In 2008, the hotel won an award from the Municipal Arts Society of New York for best new building erected that year. www.nydailynews.com
