Niko Alm announced the decision on his blog saying that after three years of struggle a psychologist had passed him fit drive and so he could wear the kitchen implement for the official picture. A self-styled "pastafarian", Mr Alm said he belonged to the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, which lampooned religion. "Today I was able to get my new driving licence, and in it you can clearly see that I'm wearing a colander on my head to demonstrate my allegiance to the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster," Mr Alm wrote in his blog. Smell of old socks can help fight deadly malaria: Scientists

Traps scented with the odor of human feet attracted four times as many mosquitoes as a human volunteer, said Dr. Fredros Okumu, the head of the research project at Tanzania's Ifakara Health Institute. Mosquitoes who fly into the trap are then poisoned. Bed nets and indoor spraying have already substantially reduced the number of fatal malaria cases, but so far scientists have not come up with a good way to help combat mosquitoes outdoors .ReadMore

Indianapolis Police Department Email Revealing Bra Sizes of Female Officers Prompts Investigation

A police union is launching an investigation after personal information about 13 female police officers -- including their bra sizes -- was sent out in an email to department supervisors at the Indiana Metropolitan Police Department. A member of the command staff reportedly sent an email to commanders and shift supervisors, alerting them that 91 police officers -- including the 13 female officers -- needed to pick up their new bullet-proof vests. Restaurant says it has footage of Picasso thief

The proprietors of a San Francisco restaurant say they have surveillance footage of a sockless thief who snatched a valuable Picasso drawing off an art gallery wall. Lefty O'Doul's released images Wednesday showing a man walking on a sidewalk carrying a framed artwork under his arm. The restaurant is just a few doors down from the Weinstein Gallery, where police say a man stole a Picasso drawing worth hundreds of thousands of dollars late Tuesday morning before fleeing in a waiting taxi.
